It wasn't particularly gorgeous before unlike some other historic pools from the 30s and 40s. Auburn Council is looking at redeveloping their local pool, the Ruth Everuss Swimming Centre. While it is definitely looking a bit shabby, it is a lovely pool, full of colour and distinctive multi-coloured tiles that I haven't seen at other similar era (1959)pools. So it would be sad to lose the character of the original pool and I hope they maintain some of it if they go ahead with the redevelopment. You can read about it on my blog. One thing I know is that all of them are full of stories!
